Beijing International Screenwriting Competition

The Association of Chinese Cinematic Artists would like to announce the launch of the first-ever Beijing International Screenwriting Competition.

The competition’s mission is to open doors to all US-based contestants of any nationality, to create compelling cinematic stories centered around Beijing and its rich, multifaceted culture. Its hope is to foster artistic collaboration between China and the US.

This contest is open to all students. There is NO entry fee. Participants are encouraged to submit a brief 3-11 page screenplay for a short film set in Beijing. Students may also submit PROPOSALS for feature films.

TEN winners will receive all-expense paid week-long trips to Beijing, plus $1,000 each in cash prizes. SEVEN of these winners will have their films financed for PRODUCTION in Beijing.

The SUBMISSION DEADLINE is April 20, 2013. In addition, Early Bird Prizes, consisting of $100 AMC gift cards, will be awarded to the 100 best screenplays submitted by March 29, 2013.
